BEN mILLER

Before comedy, my first love was science. I got a degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Columbia University. I worked in some labs and did fun things like: experiment with lasers, make humidity responsive biopolymers, and 3-D print cookies. I even taught science for a bit when I thought that I wanted to make my parents proud.
During lockdown, I decided to combine my passions and try to tell jokes about science, thus Stand-Up Science. The show started as a web series, but then developed into a live hour of stand-up comedy that had a completely sold-out month long run at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a 50+ city tour across the US and Europe.

I'm no longer touring this show, but if you want to book it for private events, please feel free to contact me. The show is PG-13 and I've performed it at high schools, colleges, punk venues, planetariums, science conferences, comedy clubs, churches, a synagogue, science museums, etc. It's got jokes about physics, chemistry, biology, medical science, materials science, chairs, Alex Trebek (RIP), and milk.
Here's the first 7 minutes of the show:
